The Huapai Country Club, a lifestyle retirement village, is extending it’s further development with buildings M2 and M3. Located just 35 minutes northwest of Auckland’s CBD, this multi-residential development offers a range of superior homes and apartments that embrace the relaxing lifestyle benefits, while being so close to the city amenities. For the M2 and M3 buildings, AFS Rediwall was supplied and installed for constructing durable basement walls in the carpark. 

The Challenge

The Huapai Country Club’s large-scale development presented challenges throughout the build. Builders required a fast-to-install wall system that could meet tight timelines without compromising on quality and structural requirements. With multiple stories and many other works within the programme, it was essential to have fast construction for the basement walls that wouldn’t slow down the build of the retirement development.

Full Supply & Install Package: Our AFS Rediwall system not only offers a supply-only package but also a full supply and install package. The builders prefer AFS to install the Rediwall, ensuring a seamless installation. This allows the builders to concentrate on other areas, confident that our AFS project managers will manage the installation deadlines.

Time and Cost Efficiency: The walls of the basement carpark can be either left bare, saving time and material costs or plastered and painted if preferred. The productivity factor for installing AFS Rediwall is 1.2 man hours per square meter, significantly reducing time on site for construction.

The Solution

In the M2 building on Huapai Country Club, AFS supplied and installed 486m² of Rediwall, while for the M3 building, AFS supplied and installed 505m² of Rediwall. This fast-to-install wall system helped the project stay on schedule, helping the builders deliver the construction programme cost-effectively and on time.
