The Huapai Country Club, a lifestyle retirement village, is extending it’s further development with buildings M2 and M3. Located just 35 minutes northwest of Auckland’s CBD, this multi-residential development offers a range of superior homes and apartments that embrace the relaxing lifestyle benefits, while being so close to the city amenities. For the M2 and M3 buildings, AFS Rediwall was supplied and installed for constructing durable basement walls in the carpark.
The Challenge
The Huapai Country Club’s large-scale development presented challenges throughout the build. Builders required a fast-to-install wall system that could meet tight timelines without compromising on quality and structural requirements. With multiple stories and many other works within the programme, it was essential to have fast construction for the basement walls that wouldn’t slow down the build of the retirement development.
The Benefits of AFS Rediwall
The AFS Rediwall system proved to be the ideal solution for the basement walls, offering the following benefits:
Full Supply & Install Package: Although we also offer a supply-only package for AFS Rediwall, the builders and developers choose AFS to install the Rediwall, ensuring a seamless installation. This allows the builders to focus on other areas without worrying about installation deadlines, as our AFS project managers manage this.
Time and Cost Efficiency: The internal walls of the basement carpark were ready for direct plastering or painting without the need for strapping or lining, reducing material costs and installation time.
The Solution
In the M2 building on Huapai Country Club, AFS supplied and installed 486m² of Rediwall, while for the M3 building, 505m² of Rediwall was supplied and installed. This fast-to-install wall system helped the project stay on schedule, helping the builders deliver the construction programme more cost-effectively and on time.
